Sammy Noumbissi D.D.S., M.S. brings to the Washington Metropolitan area, from the Loma Linda School of Dentistry's highly selective Advanced Education Program in Implant Dentistry, the absolute latest in jaw bone preservation and dental implantology. After three years of advanced training in dental implantology, Dr Noumbissi specializes in the placement of dental implants, jaw bone reconstruction and gum recession repair.

When it comes to dental implants he is one of the few formally trained and certified dental implant surgeons in the United States. Dr. Noumbissi is a certified specialist in Implant Dentistry and holds a Master of Science in this highly specialized area of dentistry.

Dr. Noumbissi has actively participated in studies conducted to determine and refine the guidelines of implant placement immediately after a tooth is extracted. Although not invented by him, Dr Noumbissi participated in establishing and refining protocols for placing teeth over implants the same day they are inserted. He is one the very few implant surgeons in the area who confidently and predictably performs this type of dental implant procedures.

Dr. Noumbissi has not gone unnoticed by his peers; he has published in some of the most prestigious Dental and Dental Implantology journals available to the profession. He is the recipient of numerous scientific honors, including the American Society of Oral Biologists and a joint National Institutes of Health (N.I.H) / University of Texas Houston research grant award to evaluate the active compounds of five chewing sticks used in West Africa for natural and biologic oral heath and therapy.

Most recently, Dr. Noumbissi has completed and published a study conducted at Loma Linda University for jaw bone enhancement in preparation for precise and predictable implant placement.
